A life or education policy whose premium has been paid for at least three years attains what we refer to as a cash surrender value. This is simply the cash value of the policy.

If a premium payer elects this option, the policy contract is surrendered as well as the benefits that are available under it for its cash equivalent at that time.

1. Any holder of a Life OR education policy with us which has been in existence for at least 36 complete months and for which premiums have been paid up to the current date.*

2. The Applicant must be the insured person on the policy OR the policy owner where the insured is a minor.

1. Present the original policy document, together with the three most current pay slip originals & copies for employed persons & three most recent bank statements for business men/women. **

2. Fill in and sign a Loan Application Form, Loan Bond and new Banker's Order/ Salary Deduction Form (available from our offices at the point of application).

3. Present original & valid identification and a copy (national i.d., driver's license, passport) to the concerned company officer for verification.

1. Loans are issued to a maximum of 80% of the policy's Cash Surrender Value subject to a minimum of Kshs. 5,000 and maximum of Kshs. 150,000. ***

1. The maximum repayment period for all loans is 36 months.

2. Interest is charged at 14.5% per annum.

Yes. The net loan amount disbursed will be less Kshs. 300 being service charge AND Kshs. 2 per 1,000 of the loan amount being Stamp Duty.

Yes. Policy premiums will continue to be paid in addition to the loan principal & interest.
